My hair has a red pigment in it so i have resently been dying it a medium brown. Which i really like. But this time i dyed it and i dont no what happend it came out black. And my face is pale and i look really silly. My mum sed that if i dyed it a lighter colour then it would go green is this true ? And how soon could i dye my hair a lighter colour? And would it work?

Corrective coloring

Yes your hair could easily turn green. Black is the hardest color to remove, because it usually stains the hair. You will get different level of lift the further the hair is away from the scalp, and you will end up with color bands.

You should leave corrective coloring to a stylist.
