International hair stylist Anthony Cherry was the key hair stylist in Plies new video “Want It Need It ” featuring Ashanti which is already being played and climbing the charts on BET. The video showcases Cherry in his element…doing hair and highlights another one of his many talents.
Cherry is well known in the urban mainstream market for print covers such as Billboard with Tila Tequila, Stacy Dash’s famous comeback cover on King Magazine, Sharon Leal, and currently just finished the Grammy weekend with a bang. Working with Prince on the set of his new video “Crimson & Clover”, Missy Elliott, Tiera Marie and the press junket for “Madea goes to Jail” with Tyler Perry and Keshia Knight Pulliam.
The rising hair guru from St Louis is currently been named Mr. up and coming by many video directors like Benny Boom, Hype Williams, Chris Robinson, Joseph Kahn and Yolanda Geralds. Working with them on several videos like Snoop & Akon’s , Ciara, Missy Elliott, 5o Cent, Game & Nas, Chris Brown, Ludacris, and Fabulous, Ne-yo & Jaime Foxx, Kanye West, Plies, Lady Gaga and Travis Tritt, Sean “Puffy” Combs, and Bone Thug’s & Harmony just to name a few.

Currently moving in the direction of the big screen Cherry has already had a cameo appearance in Chris Robinson’s short film 3by3 Nike Wind Runner, and most recently will appear in the new Plies video Want it Need it airing Feb 5th on BET.
With a clear view of his work appearing on the new show “Candy Girl’s” it is plain to see why Anthony Cherry has been responsible for the looks of Ashanti, Keysiha Cole, Jill Marie, Keisha Knight Pullman, Denise Lawton, Danielle Crawley, Claudia Jordan, Mona Scott-Young and the list just goes on and on. “I feel truly blessed” says Cherry “The crazy part is I am just getting started, there is so much I still want to accomplish” claims the funny and passionate Cherry who is actually less of a hair stylist and more of a “personality” and hair icon.
