Avoiding the burn

BANGS

BANGS

I have started styling my bangs to fall over my forehead but my hair is so thick and frizzy I usually have to iron it all the time and I was trying to avoid always burning it because I don't want it to look like straw so I was thinking about using curlers instead but I don't know which ones to get because there are so many different types. Which type of roller would be the best for what I am trying to do? Please help. Thank you.

not rollers

Hi Deni,

I wouldn't recommend using rollers if you want to have the hair lay flat with straight ends. Rollers (even large ones) will give you lift at the roots and bend at the ends. I recommend blow drying with a wide cushion brush. One with boar bristles would be best. Like the Warren-Tricomi one here.

Then you can just zip the flat iron very quickly over any fuzzy bits, minimizing the damage by reducing exposure to the intense heat of the straightener.

All the best,
