bad hair color choises

2 days ago, i decided to highlight my short hair as I've done before, but this time i used the hat with the holes in it and for some reason, it dyed 90% of my hair blond. My husband and I both hated it and so I had a box of dark auburn in the cupboard(granddaughters) and thought anything would be better than the blond, but i was wrong. its too light. the very back of my hair where i didn't put any highlights is the right color, but not the rest. What can I do now? i really hate this red.

I'm not a professional, but I've used L'oreal Hair Color Remover in the past; see following link... http://www.lorealparisusa.com/all-over-color/colorist-secrets-haircolor-remover.htm

It will remove your hair color, but won't take it back to your natural color. When I did mine, it turned it a light, almost white, lemon yellow color. You will still need to use another hair color after you use the hair color remover to achieve a new color and the color you want. You do have to keep in mind that after using the hair color remover kit, when you apply a new shade of hair color, it will most likely give you the shade that shows on the box for people who have blonde hair; at least the L'oreal products I've used have a chart on the side of the box that show what result you will likely achieve with that color, depending on what color you start out with. This worked for me. I hope this helps.
