Bad product buildup. Help!

I used some new mousse a for a little while (a week max but I don't even think it was for that long) and stopped because it made my hair feel sticky and greasy (like I had put too much hair spray on or something). I stopped using it four days ago, and my hair still feels like that! I've washed it everyday, today I shampooed it like four times (three with herbal essences, once with my friend's expensive shampoo, not sure of the brand) and it's STILL feeling like there's product in it. What do I do to get it out of my hair?!
