hi,i have black hair with caramel highlights,my ends of highlights are turning yellowish.I want to cover my hair all one colour .I want a golden blonde put over it,to achieve a light brown look, what will happen,will it work over highlights.

If you put a golden blonde over dark brown hair, you will have ORANGE! so that is definitely not the way to go. If you want to darken up the ends, you're better off using foil to separate out the caramel highlights (if you aren't coloring the regrowth on these, you can just paint on some conditioner so they'll stick to the foil) then use a semi-permanent (no-ammonia) color the same shade as your dark brown hair on the dark sections to even out that color. Any permanent color will provide unwanted lift and bring out the orangey underlying pigments so avoid permanent haircolor formulas.
