Pool Protection for Bleached Hair
by: Anonymous

It certainly can. Bleached hair is usually more porous and will grab onto the chlorine. One way to protect your hair, if you don't like the idea of wearing a cap, is to rinse your hair thoroughly with plain water BEFORE swimming. Your hair will absorb the water, making it less able to hold the chlorine. Hope this helps.

Effects of chlorine
by: Michelle

Chlorine can discolor bleached hair and create a rough texture. Excessive exposure to chlorine can lead to brittle hair and a telltale chlorinated "shine."

You can use a special shampoo to remove chlorine from the hair. Here are two I like...

Malibu 2000

Joico K-pak Chelating Shampoo
