blond highlights turned gray

(Clarkston, GA, USA)

We do not have money so I've been coloring my hair and used to use just a blond color kit from the local drug store. About three months ago I colored my hair a bit too dark and went to a beauty supply store and purchased a highlight kit. The highlights came out beautiful.

Last week I purchased a darker color (medium brown) and just colored my hair. I was going to go a bit darker and then highlight, however, my highlights (a LOT of them) turned gray!!! What can I do to remedy this? I do not have the money to go to a professional!!! PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

I am supposing it was the shade of brn you chose. Maybe an ash or muted ? I would think a brown in the same shade bu says WARM brn..or reddish brown will cure the gray color If you dont like your hair to have the reddish highlites to it you may be able with the help of a friend to put the warm brn on the gray streaks alone.. That is about the only way to omit the ashy,or gray that the blonde hair absorbed..Good Luck...

try a color shampoo or color conditioner or both. a reddish brown should work. the conditioner usually gives you more color than the shampoo. leave the conditioner on for a while. that should be an easy way for you to remedy this. good luck.
