Breakage

The past two years my hair will not stop breaking off. I have dyed it for almost nine years and have never had a problem. It stays the same length and keeps getting thinner and thinner. I have tried so many products and nothing stops it. What can I do to stop the breaking?

massage your scalp

start off on the front of your scalp making clock wise circle with your fingers till you get to the lower portion of your scalp repeat 3 sessions a day 3 times a week for a month and you'll see great results rinse with vingar helps clear the pours so after you finish you want to open your pours to let your hair ventilate properly try this whole step for a month to see if that works.

You man want to make a appontment with a dermotoligist, and make sure that you take the products that you have been useing. You should also jot down if your are taking any meds, and if so keep an eye out to see if you see any more problems.

Factors leading to breakage...
by: Michelle

There are several things that can cause hair breakage. It could be a dietary thing... some sort of nutritional deficiency. Omega fatty acids can help with hair that's brittle and prone to breaking by providing what your hair needs internally. See a nutritionist or physician if you don't see a change after addressing some simple internal considerations.

Now let's talk external...
If you are using a protein conditioner, that may be contributing to the breakage. Too much protein (without the necessary moisture) is NOT a good thing. Here's some info about reconstructing hair treatments.

All the best,

Have you tried a product called Anti-Snap?? Use this product for a few months and you will see a big change in the breakage of your hair. I believe you can get it at most salons. It's made by Redken. No I'm not employeed by the company, I just use the product and know that it worked for my overprocessed, dry, brittle, bleached blonde hair.

hair Breakage

Hair breakage is a serious issue but it is not hopeless. If you want your hair to look and stay healthy, you need to be sleeping on a satin pillowcase. I had heard a lot about them from friends and also from my stylist. She told me that cotton causes friction leaving you with split ends and frizzes. It also is naturally absorbent so it pulls the moisture from your hair and skin. The combination of dried out hair along with weakened ends due to the friction that cotton creates causes your hair to break and also hair loss. I switched to a satin pillowcase and I’ve seen a huge difference in my hair and also with my skin. I don’t wake up with those pillowcase lines on my face in the morning either. I found a website that has a page devoted to the benefits of sleeping on satin and they had some absolutely beautiful prints and solid pillowcases. I found a gorgeous pastel flower print. The company is A Touch Of Satin. If you’re interested, their website is http://www.atouchofsatin.com if you want to read about the benefits. Well, I hope this helps you out.
