been there, done that

I've done that to my hair and there is absolutly no color that will take. If you do get a color to take then it will not last long. You need to go to hair dresser and come up with a plan on how you are going to get it cut because you will more than likely have to let it all grow back out and start fresh. That's exactly what I had to do. It sucks but you live and you learn.

I know this is late!

Hi. i know this is a bit late, but there is no reason why you would have to cut the hair or grow it out and start again!

Bleached blonde hair has had the pigment removed, therefore placing a brown dye on it would most likely turn it green. If you wanted to go brown, you would first of all have to dye it red, then brown (which you can do straight away - no reason to have ronald mcdonald hair!)

If you want the hair a few shades darker, then it isn't necessary to add red pigment. To get blonde hair a darker blonde, you will need either a toner, or a colour depositing dye. Loreal Casting Creme gloss in incedible in my opinion! Think of it as a semi-permanent toner. L'Oreal Excell 10 should work as it deposits a colour. Hope this helps!
