Color over Color

I just had my hair highlighted. y hair is dark brown and I got caramel highlights and I do not like them. If I put permanent light brown color on my hair should it be ok. Do I need to wait a period of time?

Do you want to cover you highlights up ? If you use light brn on your drk brown hair it will leave you with some red in the drk hairand your highlights will be a little darker than they are now...So think carefully before you add light brn to your drk hair...I would have to see your nat color and know what you are aiming for..It sounds like to me you should put your natural drk brown all over for about 10 to 15 min.to blend your highlights then when shampooed a couple of times will allow the highlights to come thru a more natural look. Good luck to you..Your hairstylist can probably lead you in the right direction....
