Colour wont take properly

by Sue

i went from being blonde shade 12 to about a 6 a light brown. When the stylist did it it looked great a few days later i washed it and it really faded and kept going that way fast. When i was due to go back about 8 weeks later she did the same colour again but it hardley took at all she had me back a few days later and put on a shade darker a 5 and it went a bit darker but nowhere near wot it should. Again when i next washed it it was almost gone again. it was deffenatly a perm colour and both me and my hairdresser are fustrated. Any ideas why my hair is doing this and what can i do to stop it misbehaving. many thanks. Sue

I thought that the second time it would probably hold the color better, but since it didnt maybe you could try this..Put a filler on the hair, first. Usually you will put the color of choice on the hair with no developer and then go over it after about 15 min. with the color with the developer added..You hairdresser should know this process and it should help..Good luck...

you need a filler, depending on what color system your stylist uses, that system should have a color filler. some fading is normal when your hair is overprocessed and extremely porous. but having the cuticles "filled" will help the hair hold onto the color longer..good luck
