Dark hair that needs to go light?

So i went to the salon quite a few months back and went with a dark hair color. Right after getting it done i decided i did not like it but did not pursue the matter. I have let my hair grow out quite a bit but there is still about six inches on the end of dark brown almost black hair and now i want to go light. I know that bleaching is a bad solution but am unsure how to successfully achieve a natural blonde color without bleaching first. What do i do?

basically what you got to do is slowly keep cutting it off the ends or if u got a layerd look this would be easier to do jus keep cutting out the layers!! but definetly do not bleach it not only does it damage ur hair it'll also giv an uneven tone from the dark to light colour you've alredy got .. just be patient n keep on trimming your hair !!!!
