darkest brown hair want to go red auburn/burgandy

Okay so i have been dying my hair the darkest brown from prefect 10 & usually it's dark the first few days like almost black. well last month i dyed it & has not faded a bit! it looks like my hair is black! but its suppose to be dark brown. anyways my roots have grown out & you see my light brown hair so i dyed it to dark auburn...did NOTHING but change my roots. so i waited a week & then used burgundy from revlon haircolor. & again it only took to the roots.

so can i go to a hair salon for them to fix it? & will they have to cut my hair because im not up for that at all! but i don't want this dark hair anymore :( please help

if you dont like the deep brown try an ash brown to even out the tones. the hair will lighten but not turn to a orange. then gradually lightening your hair to get satifactory look you want. also, if you dont want to do all the work, jsut go get it proffetionally done.

Color over color will not lift. Box colors generally have only 20 volume n them. Color won't lift another color therefore you need to remove some of the color. Don't try this at home. Really, go to a professional. It has to be done carefully and will need to be toned or recolored. Too risky for at home
