I have long hair but i dont want it anymore.I dont know either to get it cut short or just styled.

Without seeing a photo of you, it's very difficult to say what you should do with your hair. But, if you want to see how you'd look in different hair styles/colors before taking the plunge, try a virtual hair style program. They're great for experimenting before making a big change.
