You need to deep condition your hair every two weeks. The deep condtioner is suppose to help dry and damage hair.

Yep, deep conditioning will definitely help your dry hair. You're going to have to cover your highlights to ensure you get an even color throughout, and since you're going back to a darker color it shouldn't be a problem. I'd suggest you going to a salon and telling them you'd like to go back to your natural color and remove the highlights. After buy yourself a shampoo and conditioner suited for your hair type to help restore ad maintain your hair.
