Dying hair after highlights

I got highlights a month ago. Then two weeks ago I dyed my hair darker because I did not like it. The color washed out though. I want to try to dye my hair again, is it okay to do, or will my hair start to fall out? And what should I do differently so the color stays in? Should I try another brand?

dying after bleaching

I also bleached my hair with a home kit at home and now I hate it. i have dark brown hair and bleached it a kinda golden blonde streaking kit. and in some lights it looks really orange. so is there anyone else out there who can help us, is it ok to buy another darker brown semi colour and just do the whole lot, i streaked my hair a couple of days ago, how long will i have to wait
