Hair color pulling red

by Sarah
(Cumming Ga.)

I have been dying my hair for years now but every time I do it always turns a reddish color. My natural color is dark brown. What can I do to avoid this red that I don't like?

Thank you,
Sarah

stop using 20 volume peroxide,(6%)and reduce it to 10 to 15 volume about 3 to 4 % this will deposit color and stop lifting you natural color to red.

getting rid of red cast

If your hair is taking on a red cast you should have either a neutral base or if you have gray in your hair make sure that the color is for covering gray hair. Some colors do not cover gray hair as well. Good Luck!

I understand you have been coloring your hair for years but just noticed this? Have you added a new medication or vitamin/mineral supplement? That could cause this to occur.
