Hair dark brown to blonde

Hello, my hair was blonde then i dyed it brown, now i want it blonde again, the brown nair is a dark brown but no where near black, i'm going to do it myself and use a tipping cap with the darkest blonde i can find first and then use the tipping cap again and apply the 10.21 pearl blonde, will this work? any sugestions?

You CAN make your hair blonde from dark brown. First I need to know if your hair is dark brown naturally or is it colored? If it is natural, then go ahead and get a light blonde hair color and follow the instructions, or better yet, get yourself to a hairdresser and let HER do it.

If your hair is dark brown as a result of hair color then you HAVE TO USE BLEACH, and you will probably come up with very dry damaged hair, and it will probably come out very reddish-orange, but you can change the reddish-orange with a blue toner. But you will still have to deal with the dryness. You can use a glossing syrum and then infuse the glossing syrum with a flat iron to make it look better.

You are probably better off letting it grow back.

Ever heard that saying "once you go black you can't go back"? Well, THAT's where that saying came from. Once you dye your hair black (or dark brown) you can't go back...without damaging your hair at least.

Here is what I would do:

Get a bunch of highlights in that dark hair to lighten it up a little, and let it grown out.
