Hair dilema

by Jessikah

My hair is red and my boss told me that I need to dye my hair blond brown or black for work. I had just tried to dye my hair brown today and Im not satisfied with the color I had bought more dye today, can I redye my hair without doing much damage to my hair?

Hi Jessikah,

Slightly disturbing and totally inappropriate that your boss is insisting on a haircolor change for you. But to answer your question, yes you can re-color your hair without causing too much damage. Especially since you're just depositing color. But you'd be better off with a semi-permanent than a permanent. Semi-permanent doesn't have much of an effect on the condition of the hair, but permanent color contains stronger activating ingredients which can rough up the cuticle layer of the hair.

All the best,
