Hair dresser screwed up my hair!! Need help!

by Luba
(Toronto, Canada)

Ive had really blonde hair for about 5 years and wanted a little change, asked to have chocolate golden brown low lights put in to break up the blond and very thin sporatic low lights, however ended up with almost a black (very very dark brown)colour all over my hair.. It now looks black and white... How do I fix this?? I did not want it to be so dark and cant afford to bleach my hair as it all has been bleached before for the blonde. What are my options because my hair looks hideous and it cant stay like this. I know the first thing is a new hairdresser, but what will she be able to do for me? Please help.

Help!

Have you been with your hairdresser awhile? I would give her the chance to fix it first. She would more than likely do it at no charge if she knows you are upset about the results. If not, I would go in for a consultation with a certified colorist in your area. Inquire about their experience first and then meet with them. Adding more highlights could be an option.
