hair emergency!

well you see, i have olive skin and im thinking of getting a whole new, edgy look. Im thinking of dying my hair jet black and getting like 3 different coloured highlights, i was considering red, platinum blonde and dark purple...any thoughts on this? oh and i have layers and my hair is usually straightened... and if this selection doesnt look right, can you tell me what would be a better choice? thanks :)

lot's of up-keep

That doo would be a little edgy and probably be really cute if you have a good hairdresser-but that would be a lot of up-keep too. but you only live once and it's your hair, if the colors are YOU then go for it!

Well, you are young and can probably get away with that pretty easily, but in looking at your pic, I was just thinking....What about just some light brown and light blonde higlights, and get some more layers...maybe? IDK, I'm not a hair conniseur, just thinking it might look cute. BUT, again you're young and I know that you probably want to make a statement and probably tired of the color...although it is pretty on you.

I was young once, and know how you feel, but just as some advice from an "older" female with plenty of hair make-over experience, I did a lot of damage to my hair with all the bleach and do regret so much of the dying now. But, I do admit that I had fun while doing it and even got a lot of compliment when I had blonde highlights....I'm a brunette with lots of red highlights...natural.

Whatever you do, have fun with it and get it done professionally.

ok so i agree that you would look great if you either kept it the same color or dyed it black and then put blond and/or light brown highlights in. the other three colors would probably work too though

please!!! DO NOT DYE YOUR HAIR BLACK!!! if you want all those colors in your hair, they need to be done profesionally and with foils. different colors in foils that are prelightended to take the funky colors. if you dye your hair black first, your hair will be fried if you try to lighten it up for the other colors and you will hate the texture and end up cutting it off!!have fun with your hair but have pretty hair too!

i think you shouldn't do it because when you die it jet black then when you want to put blonde highlights in it you'll have to bleach it then your hair will turn orange when you try and bleach it and it will look really bad.
