Hair Residue Build Up

by Vicky

I have used clarifying shampoo and tried apple cider vinegar to remove the white residue from my hair to no avail. I have also seen to try baking soda are there any other suggestions?

Did you use the clarifying shampoo with a plastic cap on your head and sit under a hot dryer for 15 minutes? Then shampoo it out.

dawn dish soap...my friend used to use it to get all the Aqua Net hairspray out. And that stuff was liquid cement!

There is a product that is used in salons to remove spray build up called Dissolve all purpose cleaner.. I have used it on clients even with color treated hair...spray on wet hair and comb thru let sit 5 mins and shampoo you can repeat the process if needed. If you cannot find that product just use Formula 409 household cleaner. Hair is very strong these products will not harm the hair. I have wondered if a product called Goo be gone might work also.
