Hair with mixed textures. What to do?!

by Dana
(Dallas, TX)

I used to have very straight hair, but sometime after getting my hair permed as a kid and having my first child - my hair has changed ALOT. It's exactly as described above. If I wear it without doing anything to it, there are like a few huge waves. I've tried scrunching it with a gel, but I just don't seem to have enough wave to my hair to make it look right.

I have an oblong-to-rectangle face and would like advice on a cut that is easy to fix on days that I don't blow & straighten my hair. Please include pictures and products that would help.

Thank you!!!!!

my hair has done the exact same thing.. except I didnt have kids.. 1st my hair was wavy a bit.. Now, my hair is slightly curly.. especially after washing it! What worked for me was a layered cut my hair is very long.. and I do not use product and I only scrunch it.. good luck

Thank you!

Any more tips ladies?

I should also mention that in addition to the big waves, I have these random kinky/really curly hairs and some straight hair.
