i think i left the color on too long and my hair is too red,how can i darken it?

Try Paul Mitchell Clarifying shampoo. Wash your hair several times and then soap up really well and let it set on your hair for awhile then rinse and condition really well. If you do this for a few days it will lighten the red considerably. I've done the same thing a gazillion times myself (gotten too red) and this always works! Then, after a few days you can pick a light to medium brown to cover some of the red if you want to.

If its to red go to a beauty supply store that has color in levels. ask someone that is working what level Your hair is now. If they say You are a level 6 then get a 5, if 7 get a 6..... Get a ash based color "green" green will counter react w/ the red and You should end up with a beautiful dark brown. O yeah mix color with a 10 developer for deposit only. hope this is not to confusing! good luck
