A few tips for you
by: Anonymous

My question for you is if your hair was colored before you tried dying it red or do you have vigin hair? Do you have new growth from a previous color? I am guessing that you do color your hair and the reason that you have "hot roots" ,orange roots, is that the red dye deposits differently on previous colored hair than virgin hair. A different color formula is needed for your "new growth". Reds tends to get "hot" for a few different reasons. Try adding a neutral/natural color in addition to the red for your roots, about 1/2 ounces, then use the red you have used for your mid shaft to ends. Also, you will need to only pull the color through to your ends for about 15 minutes, watching it closely to your desired level.
