Hot Air Brush

A Hair Styling Revolution!

The hot air brush is one of my favorite hair styling tools! Hot air blows out from the center of the round brush barrel, drying and styling your hair at the same time. The effects are the same as using a round brush and blowdryer, though not nearly as challenging.

The beauty of this contraption is that it leaves you a free hand, unlike holding both a hair dryer and a round brush.

This means you can easily section the hair and hold the ends of each section to create tension as you work.

Look for a model with a curl release button, which allows the barrel to spin backwards, releasing the hair if it starts to get caught up in the brush. I've had my Helen of Troy hot air brush for just about 10 years now...still goin' strong.

Both of these models are easy to clean. The end twists off, allowing you to pull the outer barrel completely free so you can get all the hair out and soak it in warm soapy water to clean. Then give it a good rinse and lay it out to dry.

For creating volume and curls or smoothing frizzy hair, this thermal hot air brush works a wonder. The rotating aluminum barrel heats up to dry your hair faster and the cool air option will lock in the shape of your style.

Make sure that your hair is at least 80 to 90 percent dry before you start shaping it with the hot air brush. If your hair is too wet you'll miss out on all the benefits of this fabulous tool, which is made for shaping rather than drying your hair.
