is it too soon?

my hair is naturally a lighter brown, and I wanted to go blonde so I ended up buying herbal essences bleach blonde, the bottom of my hair turned out great but the top looks like a carrot! I got this ashy blonde color to neutralize the orange... but it is still pretty orange... what can I do now? Is it too soon to try re-bleaching? this all happened in the span of 2 days

Lightening
by: Michelle

You should probably lighten again. Don't apply it all the way to the ends, just on the top where it's still too bright.

Try to get a consistent "level" of color from roots to ends. By that I mean, the hair with lightener may be a different tone, but lighten it to the same level of darkness (or lightness in this case) as the ends. At this point, pull the lightener through to the ends a bit and process it for a few more minutes.

Then tone with an ash again. tone the top first, then pull the toner through to the ends in the last few minutes (or halfway through processing, depending on how much yellow is left in the ends).

Go here for more on hair coloring chemistry.

All the best,

why did i get talkee into this
by: nikkie

I finally let my natural brown come back then I got a boyfriend. He kept telling me how good I'd look if I went back blonde. So I let him do it. My roots turned pretty blonde but the real disaster is the rest of my hair. What parts are not still brown are so yellow it looks like some one lost the ability to hold their bladder above me... I'm so embarassed to let any one see it... What to do?
