just for men touch of gray

I put in touch of gray, husbands hair is salt and pepper and now my husbands hair is all black. Last time we used it, covered a little gray with black and looked natural. Why did this cover his hair like permanent just for men? is it because he had dried chlorine in his hair? How can I get it out?

You probably left the color in a little too long.
This is a permanent hair color,try washing with dish washing detergent or getting his hair cut.
