Just recently dyed darker and want to go darker

Okay, I had decently bright blonde hair and the last time I had dyed it a blonde color was about four weeks ago. I just dyed my hair about a week ago to a darker blonde, because I want to go a little darker for the winter. Sections of my hair looks green/blue/gray and ashy. My roots are the color the box shows, but it slowly fades into an ugly grayish color. I want to re-dye it into a darker shade and maybe go into a brown or medium brown. Would it be okay to dye it again soon?
