lightening hair color
by Sasha
(California)
notice the very front, that is what I have highlighted, all the rest is my own natural blond and brown!
I have a level 5 hair shade and with natural blond highlights towards the back of my head. I go in to have my hair lightened in the front to match my own blond. What I want is the same ashy blond tone that is naturally on my head. The stylist has the hardest time lightening my hair, usually takes 45 minutes, she puts me under the dryer to lift it... after bleaching we use Shades EQ to tone...09n and 09v but my hair still has a brassy yellow tone to it... I would love to know if there is something that I can do at home to just get rid of the brassiness. Is there a shampoo or conditioner that I can use to fight off that unwanted yellow? Urgghh I am so ready to just stop highlighting my hair, I am so frustrated. All I want is ashy blond highlights!!!!
