Lowlight question

My natural hair color is between a 6 & 7 and ash based. I currently have level 10 highlights and level 8n lowlights. I'm not thrilled with the 8n because it appears too warm for my complexion and makes me look ruddy, especially when it fades.

I would like to have low lights applied that are at least a level 6 or darker with more of an ash tone. When I asked my stylist to do this she was afraid that it would take on a green tone so she suggest the 8n. How can I achieve a light ash brown lowlight without adding red? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Lowlights...

You're right about the level 6 ash. Find a good haircolorist who can carefully weave out the already lowlighted pieces and apply the 6A only to them. The warmth of the neutral (8N) shade already on that hair should be enough to prevent it getting muddy.

All the best,

I would........

I would find a different stylist. It's always good to shop around and remember you get what you pay for. Good luck. I have dark ash brown. If they bleach it then is shouldn't turn green. That's an unprofessional opinion. It cost me over $200 to get mine done.
