multicolored hair

by Desperate in FL

I have relocated to FL from NY and it has been very difficult to find a hairdresser who is properly trained and competent. I have my roots colored every 4 weeks and I have had a problem with multicolored hair (all shades of brown). My hairdresser in FL says it is because of the sun in FL. In Manhattan my hair dresser was appalled when I went to her last summer and she evened it out and gave me an awsome cut. Unfortunately now I am back to rainbow head. My hairdresser in FL says there is nothing she can do. HELP!

This is called color 'banding.' Possibly caused by your new colorist not keeping track of the exact formula she uses to color your hair and using a slightly different shade each time. Ask her if she has a record of exactly what formula she uses to color your hair.
