Look For The Cause First

Hi Elias,

Most often, thinning hair is hereditary. But that's not the only possible cause. There are many other factors that can contribute to hair loss...

vitamin deficiencies

drinking distilled water

certain medications

stress, etc.

Take note of the abundance of hair on the older males in your family (particularly on your mother's side, they say). If you don't see evidence that your hair loss could be genetic, see a doctor to investigate other possible causes.

Another Thought

I neglected to mention that it IS completely normal to lose 75-150 hairs per day. Don't be alarmed to see some hair come out in your brush or in the shower. If it becomes excessive, then you're looking at a possible hair loss issue and it's time to investigate.
