My roots are too light!

I used a 10 minute dye and dyed my hair from dark brown to auburn. My roots turned out lighter than the rest. Can I put a few dark brown streaks on top to even it out or should I see a professional?

sure you could put some darker streaks through the top but you would be better off to see a professional. Hot roots are common they happen usually with red tones. you have to understand that with red tones you lighten the roots last ... or use a shade darker and blend to the ends. again seek a professional good luck
