Need a new hairstyle and color

I used to have natural curly hair 20 years ago. Now with all the flat ironing and constant pulling my hair back in a pony tail(practically everyday to work)my natural hair is unmanageable and wavey (almost stringy). I need a style that I can wear down instead of away from my face. I want to keep shoulder length. I'd love to have my curls back, but don't know if its too late to get those back. Right now my hair is damaged, dry and brittle. I am working with a hairdresser to deep condition and bring back some life and volume.

New hairstyle & color

with wavy hair I would suggest an all over razor cut that will bring out your curls some and use product to help it. Get some highlights around your face to lighten your features (auburn or a dk.blonde). I bet you're not over 55yo,no disrespect.. you remind me of the typical suburban housewife, same clothes(look at fashion mags. Use COLOR mix/match)why go monochrome? same hairstyle, typical college sorority look.. be different from the rest,, you only live Once!

Age 66 - need new har colour
by: Elsabe

Do you have a set of hair colour photos for a 66 year lady to choose from? I have brown eyes, can describe my skin as pale (clothes with mauve, dark green, red-blue and black tones suit me), have short straight hair which is very thick. My true colour was light brown.

Hope this is enough info

Regards
