I wold like to have short hair, but not sure if it would suit me.

Sharon, from your photo, I see you have a rather squarish face and your hair tends toward maybe being fine/limp? Going short will suit you as long as you don't have it cut to the jaw...that'll only accent the square shape. I'd suggest something like a crop cut that hugs the back of the neck, and is highly layered on the top. Adding some bangs detailed with some deep point cutting in there would work nicely. With some mousse & a bit of a good thermal setting spray (I like Biolage),you would have several quick easy looks. Sweep the top section around a round brush, going back, leaving some fringe in the front to detail with a little pomade; or try it from a deep side part, styled blown forward.

I think you should go short with a few highlights to make your skin color look tone. Make sure if you get an haircut, to get a wispy bang.
