No heat, or wet curls?

My hair is very thick, and long (till 3 inches above my knees) I love curly hair, except i don't have a curling ion, and don't want to get one. I also don't want to get curlers. I want to stay very at home. Since my hair is thick, when i work with it damp, it gets tangled and falls out, so no wet ideas. Please remember not heat, or wet, and very at home procedures.

The only thing I know is you could have yourhair slightly damp and then if fairly small sections start at the bottom and with two fingers roll your hair to the scalp on a "barrel" curl and pin with a bobby pin until it dries.Good luck
