Overbleaching has burned my hair - Can I ever go blonde again?

After 1 year of thin light blond streaks on my dark brown hair, my ends look fried and though my roots are healthy, I have very little hair left past my shoulders because my stylist always re-bleaches my hair, carrying through from root-to -tip whenever doing touch ups. Is there a type of streaking that will not attack my ends each time and fry them? My ends are literally falling off.

you need a new hairdresser. he or she may know how to cut hair but does not know color!!! you should NEVER be cooking your hair like that!! of course its gonna break off!! once you have the color you want on your hair, WHY WOULD YOU PUT MORE BLEACH ON IT AGAIN??? use a protein base conditioner and get a new hairburner!!!

it's simple quit bleaching and get regular cuts. also buy shampoo and conditioner that will strengthen and add vitamins back to the hair to make it stronger.live with the color for few months or year and if your stylist keeps damageing your hair like that and you let her theres something wrong with this picture on both ends find someone else.

The first commenter is totally correct. There is not reason why your hairstylist should be running the bleach through to your ends each time. She is ruining your hair!

Bleach should be applied to the regrowth only, allowing it to lift to a level that will (after being toned) match up with the existing color on your ends. Any experienced haircolorist knows this. Sadly, there are heaps of under-educated 'stylists,' messing with color and doing crazy things like this to people.

You don't need to stop having your hair bleached. (although I'd never let that same person at it again) Just make sure that the next person who colors your hair knows what they're doing!

Get a good amount of the hair on the ends cut off and definitely embark on a serious regimen of reconstructive conditioning hair treatments to improve the health of what is left.
