please help!!! My hair is extremely damaged!!! I have tried almost everything

I have been getting my hair bleached profesionally for at least 2 years now and had no troubles untill just recently..I got my hair done and a week later i went swimming in chlorine, i put green prevention in my hair as always but it still went green and wouldnt come out!!i had never had that problem so i went to a different salon to see what they could do for me but for some ridiculous reason they put a so called "light stripper" in my hair which i didnt ask for and it didnt work and completely wrecked my hair! It also went dark so a week later i got it bleached again but the green wasnt out completely out so my regular stylist decided to bleach my whole head!!! WORST THING POSSIBLE.. How she is a hair dresser i do not know. From then on my hair has been dry, brittle, extremely porous, i have extreme breakage, thin and unmanagable. I want to dye it brown but there is no point it wont fix the damage because the damage is already done! Any suggestions or help or anything will be highly appreciated! thanks sarah, AUS

Definitely don't add a dark color over top and avoid any permanent color. Overporous hair will grab all the blue pigments and turn a grey-ish color. If you must color to tone out an unwanted hue, use a semi-permanent (no-ammonia) color in a shade lighter than what you'd like to achieve. Stick with warmer tones as ash will have a drabbing effect.

Get a good reconstructing conditioner and get started on the path to restoring the health of your hair to whatever degree you can. Here are our specific recommendations for severely damaged hair.

I know it sounds weird but it really helps, i know it from my own experience: apply twice a week mayo on dry hair and keep it for half of hour. After few aplications you'll feel the difference.
