Roots dyed to Dark

I went to the hairdresser today and she dyed my roots to dark before she weaved it.(highlighted it)Can I put peroxide mixed into shampoo on the root for 5 minutes to lighten it. My hair is very light natural blonde. She put medium ash on the roots. I told her it would be too dark, but she wouldn't listen

no. that will not work. peroxide and shampoo do not create a chemical reaction.

ROOTS DYED TOO DARK
by: Joanne Arno

HOW CAN I LIGHTEN MY ROOTS WITHOUT MESSING UP THE REST OF MY COLOR. I DO NOT WANT THEM TO TURN GOLD, I JUST WANT THE ROOTS ABOUT TWO SHADES LIGHTER.

So you went to a professional and the roots were too dark...why didn't you mention it to the stylist/colorist when it was done? Certainly you both could tell at that point if she had matched the rest of your hair color or not?? Go back and have them correct the problem...you shouldn't have to pay for it and anything you might try at this point, at home, could damage your hair or more probably not turn out the color you are hoping for.

if you try and do it yourself, AND WHY SHOULD YOU,you are going too make a huge mess!! you will end up paying twice as much. someone will have to fix your mess after you try and play hairdresser with correcting a professional job that you did not like.

I totally agree..go back to the hairdresser and ask her to lighten them a little.Of course they will lighten slightly after a few shampoos..But if they are entirely tooooo dark have her work with them before you create a bigger mess you will regret..
