Roots not light enough

I got my roots done this past weekend. When I got home I realized that the my roots were still very dark. When I spoke to my hair stylist, she stated that there was really nothing she could do. She said that the roots will lighten up eventually and that she could not place more color on the roots to lighten then up. Help!! My roots are still very dark. What can I do??

i'm not a stylist but if you paid good money to have your roots done she or he should have known to bleach them and tone or put color on them to match. go back to salon and demand her to redo to correct the problem or bleach them yourself and put a toner in it to match the rest of the hair. if you ever go back to the salon pick a different one that will give better results. good luck

Yes, go back (but just for the correction)

I agree with the comment earlier that is to say that the stylist needs to correct the situation and your current color. To think that your hair will automatically lighten itself to the color you want is absurd. I question this stylist's level of experience and lack of expertise and recommend finding a more competent stylist.
