Matthew Gordon

About the hairdo: Carla’s hair is very straight, fine, and heavy. This hairdo gives her style, volume, and is lighter on the crown. Her hair is in a short bob, cut very short in the back with long, slightly assymetrical wisps in the front. Bangs are swept to the side. Red highlights were added all over to give her a little flair.

A little about me: Growing up in Vicksburg, Mississippi, I got my first exposure to photography while working in the graphic arts department at a newspaper and working at a local camera shop. I have since expanded my boundaries of art to include sculpture, drawing, painting, ceramics, and performance art. I received my B.F.A. from the University of Southern Mississippi and my Master of Fine Arts from Florida State University, to be conferred May 2009.
I have had photos published in ThrivenMagazine.com (May 08); Nifty magazine (Summer 08); Expressionist Magazine (Feb 09), and the Hattiesburg American newspaper (July 08), as well as featured model photos on other on-line sites.

This photo shoot was one that we wanted to show off the vibrancy of the hair color with 100% natural light. No artificial lights were used in any of the shots.

Short, edgy, and trendy. This is an example of great hair and even greater concept. Short cut, with fohawk in back and soft layered curls in the front. The style can be worn soft and classic as seen in the image, or can be rocked out for a real edgy style.
