thinned out hair sticking up everywhere

Okay, I had long very thick hair, and I decided to try and get it thinned out, I'm regretting it now, but there's nothing I can do about it.

My problem is, Since it's very short in some areas, they stick up in some spots, like on the top of my head, and on the side of my head, creating a "I don't brush my hair." appearance. I cannot get these little hairs to just flow down, they continue to just stick up. Anyway to fix this?

what 2 do now

for now use a smoothing serum after you style your hair and a tad bit of hair spray. you should def not shy away from thinning hair, but when the stylist thins your hair she should lift a top layer of your hair & not thin that section
