TRIED TO FIX A HAIRDRESSERS MISTAKE (Black to Med Brown)

by Michelle

I have had my hair black for about a year now and I grew tired of it, so I went to my hairdresser just over two weeks ago and she told me the best way to lighten my hair would be to work my natural color back in gradually with highlights (bleach w/ foils, then placing the natural color all over). My hair was f@#$%d! It is naturally a medium brown however my highlights ended up orange, copper brassy blonde, yellow & red! I looked like a brindle dog, so I decided to take matters into my own hands & I bought drugstore bleach & some dye to attempt to bleach out all of the color and re-dye it. Yeah...didn't work. I look like a trailor trash idiot. My roots (the 1st 3 inches) and the previously highlighted sections of my hair are really brassy orange-blond and the rest is still black. What should I do (besides getting a new hairdresser and NEVER doing my own hair again)?? How would this be fixed without shaving my head???

the best way to do this is to find a hairdresser that knows alot about colorm, is referred by other individuals & is willing to block out enought time to get thru this. The easiest way to do this would be to shampoo cap your entire head to a pigment of your natural color and then to reapply color. along with conditioning treatments & most likely a good trim.

try to find Rusk

Try to find a salon that handles Rusk products there is a product called Elimin8 to remove permanent color it is not harmful to your hair and can bring you back to your natural color without bleaching ..just apply the color you want after the treatment. Good luck

Black is the worst color to get out, and I have never found anything including Rusk to take it out. You will have to bleach or cut it out. The color needs to be removed and recolored, and you will need several hours and a good size check and will need several inches cut off when done. Sorry black is horrible when you need it out.
