Want to donate 9inches of highlighted (not bleached) hair

I just got 9 inches of my hair cut and want to donate to help either kids and/or cancer patients. I need to find a place that will take both it being 9inches and being colored. My stylist said bleach was not used and my hair is in good condition.

I have looked at Pantene but it cannot be colored. For locks of love it has to be 10inch.

Please let me know of a place where I can send it where they will definitely be able to use it.

I have the same problem as you do. I really want to donate. I have 9 inches colored and not bleached. I should of read the requirements. Please let me know if you find somewhere. Thanks!!!

highlight vs bleach?

I have had my hair highlighted, but i do not know if that is the same as bleached. How do i know the difference? I have naturally brown hair, and i had caramel,light brown highlights about 3-4 months ago. With this prevent me frm donating my hair?

I too would like to donate my highlighted hair. I am still growing it and am willing to meet any length requirement, but my hair was previously given highlights. I am so happy that you found a place where my hair can be used to help children! Thank you so much.

Donate bleached or highlighted hair

There is a charity that takes bleached or highlighted hair for kids suffering hairloss from cancer treatment. And the good news it can be 6 inches not the usual 10 inch requirement. You just have to provide a note saying what treatments your hair has had. Here is the link...
