Could You Be Earning an Income Using the Net Too?

Just four years ago, I didn't even own a computer. If someone had told me then that I'd own a profitable web business in the near future, I would have thought they'd inhaled too much of their hairspray that morning!

But, I'm a dreamer. And a believer... that if we follow our intuition, and take consistent ACTION, we'll be drawn to the most fulfilling life possible.

For me, that means having...

• a creative outlet that pays the bills
• time with my kids - and no childcare expenses
• a home in my dream location
• the freedom to travel
• a business that earns income whether I'm working on it or not!

That's a big change from how my life was three years ago. It didn't happen overnight. Nothing real does. This is the result of hard work and determination.

But even with a clear vision of what I wanted, the WAY was still a blur. Motivation and drive were in full supply. That wasn't a problem. The only thing missing was the vehicle to make it all happen.

In a search for answers on HOW to make it happen, an acquaintance told me about Site Build It! (SBI!)... A website building program. I browsed the list of successful SBI! sites and was blown away by the range of topics people built websites about.

Had I Planned To Build A Website?

Not a bit. Honestly, starting a website never even occurred to me. Website building seemed like a specialized skill, learned at a technical institution... definitely not something for a new computer owner.

As I researched SBI! though, it became clear that this was the way to go.

It was a perfect fit...I could build a website on my time, in my way. That was my ultimate goal...to be able to work at home, be with my kids every day, and have a successful business that was mine alone. They say you can't have it all, but I beg to differ.

Why am I telling you this?...

Because YOU might have an idea, a passion, a sought after knowledge on a subject of interest to others...and you might want to change your lifestyle and build your own work-from-home business sharing that knowledge.

If someone hadn't directed me to SBI!'s site, I still likely wouldn't know about the possibilities so easily within my grasp. And you'd still be wondering how the heck to deal with your hair on a daily basis...Thank goodness for SBI!

UPDATE - August 2007: My husband was able to quit his job and we moved to the ocean last month. Moving back here has been a lifelong dream for me! Now, the biggest concern in my day is getting to the beach before the tide comes in.

As of September 2005, barely over a year after starting this website, my site was listed on that page!

How on earth does a relative newcomer to the web create a website that ranks within the top 1% of over 56 million sites out there?

Partly hard work and determination, and most importantly, having the path to success laid out for me in simple terms that I could understand. Steps I could easily implement. That and having all the tools at my fingertips. I'm even a little surprised at my own success, and I felt strongly from the get-go that SBI! was for real. Another lesson for me to always follow my intuition... Now I own 3 SBI! sites. :)
