what color and should i get it short?

i know this aint the best pic but i dont have many - all the rest are balck and white so...
anyway just wondering what everyone thinks about the colour. i want to dye my hair......???
Most people say that i should just leave it black
and i think so too but i am just TOO bored with it! this is the sorta color i want ---->

i wouldn't dye it maybe get some highlights a little lighter. and as far as the cut it would look cute with some bangs and shoulder lenghth.

Have you tried a semi-permanent color yet? it would make it easier to actually see what color looks best and it comes off in a few shampoos, also I think an "Emo" haircut would look adorable.
