What modern hairstyle will suit me?

I have had the same hairstyle for about 15 years now!! I need a change, but I am very critcal about myself and don't think things look right on me!, I have curly dark blonde hair, about 3 inches past my shoulders, I always wear it up because It feels a bit like a maine when it is down! I have tried to straighten it, which when I first do it, it looks good, but as soon as i step outside or move it around it starts to kink and I can't control it. I really want a change, and something where people are taken back by the new me!! Please help!!

I think a chinese bob will look great on you, and then finished it off to flatten your hair, and maybe a few hi-lights
