Which is better quick white or basic white?

I have medium to light blonde hair and basic white and the other one . I have 20 v and 30v. A while back I don't know which one I used but I used 30v clear with it and my hair just kept breaking really bad and it's pretty healthy my ? does one react different with the other or was it cause it was 30v clear. It has never happened before and since then I use 20v and it looks so blah and dish water blonde. Please help thank you very much for your time and have a wonderful day!
